Race Tracks
Kiwispan Jet Sprint Track , Featherston
Wairarapa Jetsprint Track founded in 2000, is set in the middle of the Tauherenikau Race Course 30 minutes south of Masterton. A lot of work has been done to come back better than ever. The elevated viewing around three of the four sides creating a great amphitheatre for families and fans. Known as a drivers track the teams are challenged with high speed through
narrow channels.
Shelter view – Wanganui
Shelter View is a permanent track which was built in 2004 on farmland in Upokongaro, 12kms north of Whanganui on S.H.4 (Parapara Highway). It has a natural amphi-theatre for ‘can’t miss action’ which is partly planted in pine trees providing shelter, hence the name Shelter View. Whanganui is one of the tracks in New Zealand with lights set up for night racing, bringing a whole new challenge for the competitors.
Sprintbowl Meremere
Established in 2002, Meremere is the longest running track in the current national circuit. Situated directly behind the famous Meremere Dragstrip the track was created in the middle of an old high bank speedway oval giving specators a great viewing platform from its natural ampi-theatre creating a great family atmosphere. The Auckland Jet Sprint Club has produced some top pedigree competitors over the years with at least 9 front running club members competing for this season national titles in all classes.
Novus Glass Aquatrack, Wanaka
The Oxbox Aquatrack is located in the heart of the southern Alps and is proud to host the only jetsprint round in the South Island. Home of the world famous Oxbox Adventure Co this has to be the track with the most spectacular scenery and is under 10 minutes from the pristine Alpine lake town of Wanaka.
Hastings Jetsprint Track, Hastings
The Hastings Jetsprint Track, Hastings in Crownthorpe near Hastings, opened in 2008. Built in a spring fed lagoon, the natural waterway has been formed into an exciting series of islands which provides an ideal venue for Jetsprinting. With raised spectator banking on both sides of the challenging course, everyone will be able to get a close up view of the high speed V8 Jetsprint action.
The venue is 35km West from Hastings City. From Hastings take the Taihape Road turn off at Fernhill and drive 10km to a left turn into MATAPIRO ROAD, drive another 12km to the track entrance which is on your left.
Waitara Aquatrack
The Waitara Aquatrack track is the latest to be built in NZ and joined the New Zealand Jetsprint Championship series for the first time in 2016.
Sited 9km north of New Plymouth next to State Highway 3, at the end of Joll Street, Waitara, right beside the Taranaki Kart Club Track.
